Business Operations and Strategy Associate

We are seeking a top-performing, smart and motivated individual with a drive for excellence to join our team. Your work will involve a hybrid of operational, strategic and analytical tasks. You will work directly with our Business Operations and Strategy Lead to ensure our operations are running smoothly and participate in strategic initiatives, so we continue to grow rapidly and at scale. 

You will coordinate business operations and participate in setting its strategic path forwards. You will look across every aspect of the business, from our compelling product proposition, to our best-in-class technology products, to our sophisticated sales strategies - and make sure we are focused on delivering our ambitious commercial strategy and ultimately achieving our vision. You will be responsible for driving the tempo of the business through leading regular management of activity and performance, as well as executing growth projects across the business. In order to be successful, you must traverse all aspects of the business from high-level strategy to minute execution details.

The role is varied and versatile, with exposure across the entire business and will involve working closely with the various parts of the business including sales and business development, product and tech teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and solving strategic and operational topics

    • Identifying complex and ambiguous business and operational issues, strategic initiatives, and areas of operational improvement

    • Structuring identified issues, initiatives and areas into clearly defined set of questions and items to resolve

    • Completing key analysis to underpin strategic discussions and generating insights and recommendations and action plans

    • Building consensus among cross-functional teams and communicating recommendations to key stakeholders

    • Implementing and executing recommendations through to completion and final results

    • Constantly monitoring progress of implementation plans 

  • Researching key strategic, operational and technology market related topics and questions to underpin strategic discussions, analysis and decision making

  • Helping identify, develop and maintain operational performance metrics for the business

  • Supporting the identification and setup of new business processes and the improvement of existing ones

  • Executing and successfully delivering on cross-functional projects and initiatives

The Candidate:

  • Preferably 1-3 years experience at a top tier strategy consulting firm or in a high paced technology environment

  • Expected to be rigorous in regular planning and execution with high attention to detail and very advanced organisational skills

  • Expert problem solving skills and ability to concisely communicate across the business

  • Top rated people skills to lead teams and engage with customers

  • Adaptability and rapid adjustment to a fast paced and constantly changing environment and requirement set 

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved with all parts of the business 

  • Relentless focus on executing and owning the outcomes of the work
